Teaching Activities

​

Olivier Deblecker has teaching activities at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels in Electrical Power Engineering. Covered topics concern electrical machines (including special machines and actuators), power electronics and adjustable-speed drives, as well as electric vehicles.

Research Activities

​

Olivier Deblecker’s research activities mainly concern electrical power conversion, especially optimal design of dc-dc converters for railways and space applications, as well as modeling and design of electromagnetic systems operating at intermediate frequencies. He is also involved in the RESIZED project aiming at developing new tools and methodologies for the implementation of net zero energy city districts.  He currently supervises four PhD students on these topics.  He is the author or co-author of four book chapters, more than fourty papers in referenced journals and over 80 articles in proceedings of international conferences.  He has also been a member of several PhD juries in Belgium and abroad.
