Biography:

Martin Hupez holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mons, Belgium, since 2012. He worked two years for the Belgian electricity transmission system operator, Elia, before starting his PhD in 2015 at the University of Mons. His major research topics are the modeling of individual's consumption and local generation as well as stochastic analysis of low voltage networks and studies of smart grid issues.

Research description:

The research addresses the data analysis and modeling of electrical quantities in electricity distribution networks. It aims to define models mostly for long term network analyses taking into account both the accuracy and the processing effort required for that purpose. Several methods are considered such as Time Series approaches or Machine Learning techniques and several model resolutions are studied by clustering the data over time and space.
